Calling All Local Artists! We want to showcase your talents and artwork at the Summit. We are offering a ten (10) local artists the opportunity to exhibit some pieces of their work at the Summit on May 9-11, 2019 at the Signature Grand Conference Center. Submissions are now being accepted through April 15, 2019. So, do not wait, apply below today to reserve your space, showcase and sell your work! The ten (10) local artists accepted to participate in the Artists' Village will receive a complimentary full Summit registration!

Also, we are looking for 2-3 local artists to showcase their skills during a Live Artist Competition during the Summit on Thursday, May 9, 2019. The selected artists will render a work of art that expresses the theme "My Culture. My Heritage." The winner will be awarded $500 plus one (1) year of publicity via CHAT's website and social media. The winning artwork will also be used on various mediums as a representation of the Cultural Heritage Alliance for Tourism, Inc. To be considered as a participant for the Live Artist Competition, please send a 8x11 mock-up or sketch of the artwork (in a jpg or pdf format) that will be produced during the live competition to alex@culturalheritagesummit.com no later than April 15, 2019.

THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW:

  • ‚ÄčNo Application Fee required.
  • Application for Artists' Village and Live Artist Competition must be submitted by April 15, 2019, 11:59pm EST.
  • The Ten (10) artists selected to showcase their work and the 2-3 Live Artist Competitors will be notified by Friday, April 19, 2019.
  • A Participation Agreement is required to be signed by all selected artists stating that you agree to participate and be present for both Summit days, during specified timeframes, and that you will not cancel or be a no show. If you cancel or no show, you will be obligated to pay $299 to cover losses for space that could be sold to another exhibitor.
  • All artists must provide their own table displays or easels to display artwork. One (1) 6 ft table is provided. No hangings or attachments to walls is allowed.
  • All participants will be announced on the Summit's website and social media.
  • All participants will receive one (1) complimentary full Summit registration.
  • All visual artists are welcome to apply. 
  • We highly recommend that you maintain your own property insurance for your artwork. CHAT, the Signature Grand nor any sponsors, staff, volunteers or representatives of either entities will be responsible for loss or damage of your work.
  • Exhibit and Artists' Village areas will be locked and secured daily and open at official set-up, loading and event times.
  • There is a limit of 4-6 pieces of artwork that can be displayed on or around your table. Depending on the size of artwork, more or less pieces may be displayed. Please ensure each piece of your art is marked with your name and photographed.
  • Each table will have a black tablecloth and two (2) chairs. You are responsible for replacing tablecloths that are damaged due to paint or tears during set-up. You may supply your own tablecloth if you prefer.
